The country's newest premier golf club, the Boulder Creek Golf Club, designed by Mark Rathert, opened January 2003. Mr. Rathert has created an enjoyable and fair golf course with all golfers in mind, creating six teeing grounds stretching from 4900 to 7600 yards. With open fairways, no blind shots, and no hidden hazards, Boulder Creek Golf Club offers great golf in a great atmosphere.
You can look out and see the strea ms and waterfalls as you leave the Clubhouse, and as you play the first holes you have beach bunkers and palm trees and the effect of an oasis look.
Then with a three-desert theme within a nine, you go out into the arroyos. There you play across, around, over, or along an arroyo, which is basically a native, natural wash through the property that we've made into an interesting element within the golf holes.
The desert holes are based on a theme of more of a transitional side to a little bit of a plateau fairway. So the fairways are green, the edges are sand and sand is the key word. Unlike many desert courses, Boulder Creek Golf Club's sand is meticulously groomed and eminently playable. After playing the desert holes on each of the nines, players weave back through the arroyos, to the finishing holes, which return to the oasis surrounding the Clubhouse
