Appropriately enough, the Flamingo resort is home to a flock of live Chilean Flamingos! These birds, as well as a collection of other feathered-friends, fascinate our guests and populate our Wildlife Habitat. In addition to our namesake, you’ll find African penguins, swans, ducks, Koi, and turtles populating these grounds. All of our animals are carefully tended by experts and live on islands and streams surrounded by sparkling waterfalls and lush foliage.

Surrounded by lush foliage (exotic fauna includes varieties of pines, palms and magnolia), the habitat, located adjacent to the Flamingo's pool area, is the only place in town to see the pink birds up close. If you're wondering how these birds can survive in the winter, keep in mind they're native to the wetlands of Chile. In fact, heat lamps are kept on hand to warm them, as they're not very fond of Vegas winters.
The penguins are fed daily at 8:25 a.m. and 2:55 p.m.
The wildlife habitat is open to visitors 24 hours a day. Its entrance is located just inside the hotel from the parking garage, as well as from various points of the casino floor.
